 With a length of 5.06 or 5.18 metres depending on which wheelbase is selected, the new VW Phaeton sports a chromed bar grill featuring angular lights. This pneumatic suspension, four wheel drive model uses the latest on-board technologies available. It even goes as far as being able to filter and interpret various road signs, such as no overtaking, speed limits during rain etc. The large saloon also has automatic lights, anti-collision radar and 'side assist'. It can also be connected to the internet (as an option) if the driver is looking for a specific destination?Under the bonnet, three TSI petrol engines and a TDI Turbo-diesel are on offer. This latter is the 3.0 TDI V6 Common Rail developing 240 bhp. An engine which Phaeton owners will be able to fit with a P-Tronic additional box unit as soon as the model is released in 2011. |
