 The VW Beetle gains 15.2 cm in length, 8.4 cm in width, and sheds 1.2 cm in height. Its dimensions are therefore 4,278 mm, 1,808 mm and 1,044 mm respectively. The model is thus less rounded than its predecessor but keeps its fun spirit. It could be said that VW has added a sporty touch. The interior has also been re-thought, as have equipment levels.In the engine compartment, 3 TSI petrol and 2 TDI diesels are on offer. These latter are the 1.6 TDI 105 bhp and the 2.0 TDI 140 bhp. For Belgium this 2.0 TDI will doubtless be tuned down to 136 bhp. P-Tronic will be able to equip these Beetle TDI models from their launch. |
