 Very shortly after its presentation, the new Renault Energy is taking up residence in production models. The Scenic and Grand Scenic monospaces are the first to take advantage. This engine is a 1.6 dCi developing 130 bhp and 320 Nm. It has a low pressure EGR valve and a variable cylinder oil pump, but above all, it is allied to a start&stop system and to braking energy recuperation. A combination which enables it to make do with 4.5 litres of diesel per 100 km and emit only 117 grams of CO2, an improvement of 20% compared to the previous generation. The development of an additional box unit suited to this engine is underway. |
