| The Mercedes C-Class Estate represents a very strong competitor to the BMW 3-Series Touring and the Audi A4 Avant. Models to which it somewhat thumbs its nose because of the load space it offers. With 483 dm_, it fares better than its rivals which come in at 460 and 442 dm_ respectively. When the rear seats are folded, this volume increases to 1.5 m_. The boot can be compartmentalised and the hatch is electrically controlled. On the aesthetics side, the new Mercedes C-Class Estate is attractively and dynamically styled. Where engines are concerned, it continues the same programme as the saloon, including the 3 CDI versions producing 136 to 224 bhp, and for which P-Tronic offers additional box-units as easy to install as they are effective.
