 Following the Legacy and Outback, the Subaru Forester and Impreza are expanding to include diesels to boost sales in Europe. The 2.0 Common Rail flat 4-cylinder Boxer is identical to that which is fitted to the two models mentioned. In the Forester, it will develop 147 bhp with 350 Nm of torque. This model is the first to be marketed, coming out during the Paris Motor Show. The Impreza diesel will be unveiled in a few months, at the beginning of 2009. The motor develops identical torque but produces 3 bhp more. Both models will see the engine connected to a 6-speed gearbox, and will be fitted with particulate filters. |
