  • Range Rover TDV8 The 2011 version of the Range Rover will be available from the end of this year. The main innovation comes in the form of the V8 turbo-diesel. The former 3.6 gives way to a 4.4 litre unit. Power is up from 272 to 313 bhp and torque from 640 to 700 Nm. Quite hefty, therefore. Despite this gain in strength, the Range Rover V8 becomes more economical and cleaner. Its consumption of diesel is announced to have been decreased by 18.5% and CO2 emissions drop from 294 to 253 grams per km.
The Range Rover LR-TDV8 will be offered as standard with an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. It will have an improved Terrain Response system for behaviour adapted to rocky or sandy terrains.
