 It was at the Moscow Motor Show that the face-lifted Ford Mondeo was shown. On the outside, both the saloon and the estate receive front ends along the lines of the S-Max and Galaxy. LED lights make their appearance both at the front and back. The cabin has also been re-worked and the equipment level upgraded. So, for example, this Mondeo can be equipped with a reversing camera, blind-spot surveillance, driving lane assistance and Driver Alert, which warns the driver if he starts to become sleepy.In the engine compartment, the Ford Mondeo now receives the 2.0 TDCi from the Ford S-Max and Galaxy in 115 136 and 163 bhp versions, the last two being available, as an option, with the robotised double clutch Powershift gearbox. A 2.2 TDCi developing 200 bhp has also been announced, but without any further details at the moment. These engines will be equipped with the Ford Eco Mode alternator capable of recuperating energy during braking. |
