 The face-lift of the Ford S-Max involves first of all a reworked front end. Bonnet, grill, lights, bumpers? everything has been modernised. The hatch has also been modified and receives diode lights. In the engine compartment, the S-Max receives a new 2.0 SCTi petrol unit and 2.0 TDCi Duratorq blocks which now meet Euro 5 norms. Three power levels are on offer: 115, 136 and 163 bhp. The two most powerful can be equipped with the Powershift box instead of the standard 6-speed manual unit. This new S-Max also sees its optional extras increased in number. Of note is the BLIS radar which indicates when a vehicle is in the blind spot, the Premium Sound audio system and the diode interior lighting. A tasty programme? |
