 Sleepless nights for the Audi A1 and future Alfa Romeo MiTo: BMW is preparing for battle to conquer the city car segment. This contestant carries the officious name of BMW City and is expected to be released in 2010, which is a year after its rival which will come and tread on the toes of BMW's own Mini. Inspired by the 1-Series, whose equipment and the general lines of the 3-door version it will borrow, the City will also use the same engines. Where petrol is concerned, this is likely to be 115 to 150 bhp, whereas for diesels, 112 to 163 bhp will be the order of the day. A blessing for P-Tronic, which can already equip these engines. |
