Audi is reworking the engine range of its Q7 SUV. Only the V12 TDI remains unchanged. All of the other direct injection 6 and 8 cylinder blocs will benefit from a system to recover braking energy. The engines see their output increased and consumption diminished. They also receive an 8-speed automatic Tiptronic gearbox. The Q7 is now available in 3.0 TFSI V6 272 bhp/400 Nm and 333 bhp/440 Nm petrol versions. The diesel offering remains dominated by a 3.0 TDI V6 which now puts out 240 bhp and 550 Nm. This engine responds to Euro-6 norms and only consumes 7.4 litres of diesel per 100 km. |
