.jpg) The new Audi A4 will not make its debut until the spring of 2008 but its appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show means we can already reveal its strong points to you. Firstly, this will be an entirely new model. Built on the same platform as the A5, A6 and future A7 and Q5, the MLP (Modular Longitudinal Platform), the Audi A4 will be a little longer than its predecessor (4.60 metres). Still available in saloon or Avant versions, this new generation Audi A4 will continue to favour four and six cylinder TDI diesel engines with improved performance to give it sportier behaviour. The engines are linked to a manual 6-speed gearbox or the new 7-speed DSG unit. |
