A tuning box for the Skoda Scala

Replacing the Rapid Spaceback, the Skoda Scala promises to be a more aesthetic model with a finer finish, an increased level of safety and upgraded technology. Under the bonnet of the hatchback expected on our roads in early 2019, five engines have been announced: three TSI petrol engines, one TDI turbodiesel and a natural gas (CNG) G-TEC version. P-Tronic has already developed tuning boxes for the first four, which are on sale now. The two versions of the small three-cylinder engine in the Scala 1.0 TSI jump from 95 to 131 hp and from 115 to 155 hp, with torque increasing by 64 and 65 Nm respectively. Equipped with its tuning box, the 1.5 TSI 150 hp breaks the symbolic 200 hp barrier with torque leaping from 250 to 330 Nm. Meanwhile, the tuning box dedicated to the Scala 1.6 TDI 115 hp/250 Nm raises the bar to 150 hp and 311 Nm. All these values are testbed-verified.
