Audi A3 1.4 TFSI 150 hp: the right choice

As a diesel driver for over 20 years I was out of my comfort zone, and I had trouble deciding between the TFSI 180 (no COD) and the TFSI 150 versions of the Audi A3. I chose the 150 hp engine (I had an Audi Q3 2.0 TDI 140). After a four-month wait, I received the car and I have to say the quiet compared to diesel is very enjoyable. The Audi revs well and the box does a great job. A real pleasure. The transition to two cylinders (COD) is barely noticeable. BUT, as supplied, it doesn't transmit the power efficiently. Especially when starting. Knowing that this version is limited, I opted for P-Tronic (external) engine reprogramming, partly to avoid losing my warranty. I placed my order and two days later I was able to enjoy this extra option: the torque and smoothness have transformed my TSFI 1.4 into an exciting sports car for fun on winding roads or for getting away from traffic troubles. 1.5 l/100 less fuel consumption on Ford Ranger 3.2

I bought your box-unit to reduce the fuel consumption of my Ranger 3.2 TDCI. I was expecting better but I went from 10.5 l to about 9 l anyway. As I make 30.000 per year, I will have amortized it in a little more than a year, which is not bad. Emile C., Arlon
