Coming from the 30 TFSI 116 bhp (Audi A1), I wanted to move up a gear by offering myself an almost new 150 bhp A3 1.5 TFSI. What a disappointment! My mechanic explained to me that the difference in acceleration was mainly due to the fact that I had changed from a 3-cylinder to a 4-cylinder and that the A3 was heavier than the A1, but that obviously didn't solve the problem. While doing some research, I quickly came across your box-unit and bought it. I have been driving it for almost 6 months now and I must tell you that I am very happy with it! Audi A3 1.4 TFSI 150 hp: the right choice
As a diesel driver for over 20 years I was out of my comfort zone, and I had trouble deciding between the TFSI 180 (no COD) and the TFSI 150 versions of the Audi A3. I chose the 150 hp engine (I had an Audi Q3 2.0 TDI 140). After a four-month wait, I received the car and I have to say the quiet compared to diesel is very enjoyable. The Audi revs well and the box does a great job. A real pleasure. The transition to two cylinders (COD) is barely noticeable. BUT, as supplied, it doesn't transmit the power efficiently. Especially when starting. Knowing that this version is limited, I opted for P-Tronic (external) engine reprogramming, partly to avoid losing my warranty. I placed my order and two days later I was able to enjoy this extra option: the torque and smoothness have transformed my TSFI 1.4 into an exciting sports car for fun on winding roads or for getting away from traffic troubles.
