P-Tronic box-unit on Alfa Romeo 156 JTD I bought a second hand car with a P-Tronic in it. At first I was a bit frightened about driving with it, and I took it out after a few weeks. But when it had been taken off, my car (An Alfa Romeo 156 JTD) had much less punch and used more fuel! I had it put back, and I've never had any problems with it. Rudy D., Brussels.
Hello, thanks first of all to P-Tronic, who deserve to be better known. Their external reprogramming brought my consumption down from over 10L/100 to 8. The engine responds perfectly at low and high revs. The operating range is very wide. I get a lot of pleasure from my Fiat Bravo petrol 1.4 T-Jet 120. I I give my following the placement of your additional box-unit in my Polo 2.0 GTI 200 hp. I would like to point out that I mainly bought it following the advice of your sales representative who confirmed to me that it would correct the flaws of the DSG gearbox. I must say that I am very happy. The box obviously does not change the DSG's gear ratio, but the extra HP and Nm allow faster revs and therefore more rhythmic gear changes.
