I have three main positive points following the installation of the P-Tronic tuning box on my Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD 250 bhp. 1/ The starting is more incisive with an immediate response to acceleration 2/ I have more engine flexibility at low revs (under 1500 rpm) 3/ I notice a significant gain in consumption: the box allows me to go from 11.3l to 9.6l/100 km. When I bought a Kia Cee'd GT, I was expecting a real racing beast. Despite its 204 hp and some flexibility, it didn't offer all the feeling I was hoping for. Especially at low revs. The maximum torque is supposed to come out at 1750 rpm but you have to get past 3300 to really enjoy it. So I bought a P-Tronic box-unit and I don't regret it. The engine is probably very reliable, but my Clio 1.5 dCi with 85 hp lacks punch when overtaking and staying in the left-hand lane on the motorway. Adding the P-Tronic tuning box has made it more responsive and easier to handle. Fitted after 70,000 km, it now totals nearly 400,000 km and I am more than satisfied with my investment.
